Food & Bio Cluster Denmark was formed in May 2020 in a merger of four organisations that have acted regionally, nationally and internationally within their respective areas of competence for many years. In other words, we have extensive experience in innovation and development.
The great advantage of the merger is one overall entrance to development within the entire value chain within food and bioresources in Denmark.
Since the year 2000, Agro Business Park has been a focal point for entrepreneurship and idea development within the food and bioeconomy industry. Throughout the years, Agro Business Park has worked with tailored, individual guidance with a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation processes, network, funding and business development. A significant activity for Agro Business Park is three physical startup environments in Viborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen as well as a contact point in Odense.
Since 2013, Danish Food Cluster has served as a hub for branding, networking and innovation targeted at national and international companies as well as institutions in the food sector. The DNA of Danish Food Cluster was the members, and the memberindex of Danish Food Cluster represented 75 percent of the Danish food industry.
Nordjysk FødevareErhverv was established in 2013 to promote the food industry in North Jutland. The offers included businessdevelopment and advisory courses, networks, workshops and events. Members of Nordjysk FødevareErhverv included companies within primary production, processing, distribution and support industries as well as knowledge institutions and public authorities.
VIFU has worked with knowledge sharing and dissemination, development projects, networking and competence development since 2003. The primary focus areas for VIFU have been the development of new, innovative foods through specialized networks and building bridges between knowledge institutions and companies in the food industry.
