HPNow enters partnership with Royal Brinkmann and strengthens international reach

04 October 2022

“It’s always a good sign when a leading distributor such as Royal Brinkman undertakes promotion of your product, because it shows you are going in the right direction. As a young company, it is difficult for HPNow to reach even a fraction of the growers that could benefit from our products – but partnering with Brinkman addresses this specific challenge and makes the connection between growers and our product at a global scale.” Says Arnau Verdaguer, Director of Products in HPnow about the newly established channel partnership with Dutch Royal Brinkman.

A collaboration contract opens doors on a global scale

HPNow is a Copenhagen-based company which aims to address the growing challenges in clean water and sanitation, globally. With a range of on-site hydrogen peroxide solutions HPNow looks to address its customers needs for water treatment market segments ranging from agriculture and aquaculture, to industrial and drinking water treatment. HPNow is a technology and market leader in on-site generation of hydrogen peroxide and is continuously striving to further advance its technology and products to meet the growing market needs and rising global demand. In August, the company signed a distribution contract with global specialist in horticulture Royal Brinkman. A contract which means that Royal Brinkman becomes an authorized distributor for HPNow’s hydrogen peroxide generators in the agriculture segment.

Watch as CTO of HPNow Rasmus Frydendal explains HPNows solutions and its sustainable benefits.

Long-term acquaintance led to collaboration

Before actually signing the contract, the two parties weren’t completely strangers to one another. HPNow’s sales manager in the Netherlands has had a long relationship with a former owner of Brinkman, and when the two of them met at an informal event they started talking business. Brinkman discovered the potential of having a safe, sustainable and autonomous system to generate hydrogen peroxide in the greenhouse, and then dose it into the irrigation system, ensuring a uniform irrigation as well as improving plant health and yields. And when he presented the product to the current management team it very quickly took off. Because this potential completely matches Brinkman’s vision to bring the latest innovations to growers, and thus Brinkman decided to purchase a system to test the technology. Following a successful testing, a distributor agreement was signed.

“What makes this agreement special is the global presence of Brinkman, as well as its strong brand in the horticulture segment. This makes it a very exciting opportunity for HPNow, which allows us to reach many more growers with our product than we would on our own – and in doing so offer the strong advantages of safety, autonomy and supply security”. Says Arnau

3 key functions make HPNow the obvious choice

What really convinced Royal Brinkman to enter the collaboration is the fact that HPNow is the only company worldwide that provides an autonomous system to generate high purity peroxide at the point of use and treat irrigation water, which achieves three key functions simultaneously:

1. removes and prevents clogging in drip lines – securing uniform irrigation

2. improves plant health and resistance to pathogens

3. increases dissolved oxygen levels.

These three factors were clearly valuable selling points for Royal Brinkman as it allows them to offer a system to its customers to protect both water and plants, and have a higher, more predictable yield. This contributes not only to sustainability efforts, but also in automating operations and having supply security - very important these days where supply chain disruptions and price increases are the norm in the global peroxide markets. All something Royal Brinkman has great focus on. It was clear to Royal Brinkman that HPNow’s systems brings advantages to growers, and covers a gap that is not currently served by other solutions.
