Just because it is the end of summer does not mean you have to pack away your suitcase. There are plenty of travel opportunities during autumn and winter and in 2024, when we invite you on Innovation Tours around the world. We have put together an overview so you can mark your diary now and plan your next trip, where you can get inspiration for innovation and a stronger international network to take home in your suitcase.
"When you are together with innovative people, ideas flourish, and after the trip we submitted a funding application together with one of the other participants on the trip. How great it is to be part of this vibrant ecosystem and always have Food & Bio Cluster Denmark to facilitate this."
Iryna Gavrylova, CMYK Ingredients
Based on the challenges faced by Danish companies, we are organising a number of Innovation Tours and Global Insights for food and bioresource companies in 2023 and in 2024.
We have selected a number of destinations that stand out in their own way with their innovative way of working with food and bioresources. The stage is set for a wide range of activities that focus on inspiring, strengthening the innovation and internationalisation of small and medium-sized companies in the Danish food cluster.
Innovation Tours consist of an inspiring 2-3 day programme designed to build international relationships with partners in leading knowledge communities, ecosystems and companies in a cost- and time-efficient way. An Innovation Tour often includes company visits, a visit to an innovative food or agricultural fair, participation in an international conference, insight into world-leading clusters, exclusive networking and 1:1 matchmaking with potential foreign partners.
Prior to each Innovation Tour, we organise a digital event, Global Insight, where we focus on the country in question and expectations for the tour. Here we present international inspiration and state-of-the-art knowledge to strengthen Danish companies' insight into global knowledge and innovation environments such as Silicon Valley (USA), Food Valley (Netherlands) and Tel Aviv (Israel). Global Insights focuses on the market potential and invites local companies to share their development journey with its ups and downs.
- I gained immediate value from the large, facilitated network, knowledge of the ecosystem and the companies. It was of great value to participate in the Innovation Tour and I had several meetings with future business partners.
Eslam Salah, Lupinta
- The programme was well structured and generally left room for joint activities and for doing things separately when necessary. At the same time, the introduction during the bus ride was a good way to get to know each other in the group and create a group feeling for the trip. There were great experiences with new and innovative plant-based food products, meals and drinks.
Asger Smidt-Jensen, Danish Technological Institute
- We had some great conversations with the Protein Cluster, part of Foodvalley NL, and with future partners when it comes to protein fermentation.
