Throughout 2021 and the spring of 2022, members and participants at events by Food & Bio Cluster Denmark have pushed for establishing a network for food, drink and ingredient producers to support their climate impact initiatives.
The new member network “Climate Impact Assessment of Food” will launch in Copenhagen on November 3rd, and Sales Manager Nordic & Eastern Europe Erik Møller Madsen from the plant oil producer AAK, will share how the company is moving from a Danish top-ten CO2 – emitter to being climate neutral in 2025.
Karin Breck, member of the Danish National official task force to develop a new, Danish Consumer-oriented Climate Label on Food (first of its kind) will give an update on the progress of the label.
“And of course, there will be plenty of time to exchange concerns as well as concrete tips & tricks among the participants”, The Network Manager, Heidi Høy Dyrholm states.
”In general, the network aims to identify and discuss challenges and solutions within climate impact assessment on food, beverages and ingredients and improve the network between partners in the area, with a particular attention to innovation aspects.” She explains further.
The group will meet physically four times per year in different places of Denmark, and all the network activity will be held in English.
